About the Founder and Owner

Demeshia Scott Ware is an educator, founder, and owner of Purposeful Minds Educational Center, LLC. She has over 15 years of experience in elementary education with the last 3 years as a Student Support Specialist and 504 Contact. Through her experience working with struggling students in the area of Reading and Mathematics as a First Grade teacher, Early Intervention Program (EIP) Teacher, and her knowledge of the Multi-Tiered Support System (MTSS), specifically Response to Intervention (RTI) and Student Support Team (SST), Ms. Ware is known for her ability to provide quality, effective interventions, disaggregate data, and develop strategic plans based upon students’ individual needs to aid in overall student growth and development. Ms. Ware is best known for her dedication to students during her work with Atlanta Public Schools and Clayton County Public Schools respectively.

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Studies from Middle Tennessee State University. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Central Michigan University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University. Ms. Ware is certified in Elementary Education (K-5) in the state of Georgia, has expanded her education toolbox by obtaining a Teacher Leadership endorsement, Student Support Coordinator endorsement, and is Fundations and Orton Gillingham trained.

Latawanna Tallie Clark

Mrs. Clark serves as an educational consultant and tutor for Purposeful Minds Educational Center, LLC. She is an educator committed to collaborative learning that engages students, staff, families, and the community. She is certified in Special Education (K-8) in the State of Georgia and is Orton Gillingham trained. As a special education teacher in Clayton County Public Schools for 14 years, she provides inclusive and small-group instruction to elementary students with special needs. Ms. Clark is also a member of the administrative leadership team and has been the special education team leader for 6 years.

Mrs. Clark received her Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Brain Based Teaching with emphasis in Teacher Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

She passionately believes that success in education is about building relationships.

Educational Consultant/Tutor

Mrs. Mitchell serves as an educational consultant and tutor for Purposeful Minds Educational Center, LLC. She has over 5 years of experience in elementary education within Clayton County Public Schools. She has taught First and Second grades, and due to her expertise in moving students effectively and efficiently, this year she will serve in a new role as an Early Intervention Specialist for grades K-5.

Mrs. Mitchell received her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from THE Ohio State University. She is certified in Elementary Education (K-5) in the State of Georgia with a Reading and Teacher/Leadership endorsement. Her other accolades include being nominated and voted Teacher of the Year for the 2018 - 2019 School year.

Mrs. Mitchell is enthusiastic about learning and teaching all students at all levels. Her exceptional ability to establish rapport with students and parents through ongoing communication skills is what makes her a great asset to Purposeful Minds Educational Center.

Educational Consultant/Tutoring Assistant

Danita M. Scott serves as our team’s Educational Consultant/Tutoring Assistant. She has over 10 plus years of experience in secondary education specifically in the areas of Physical Science, Life Science, and Earth Science. Ms. Scott has always had a passion and love for fostering and cultivating the hearts and minds of children. This work is evident in her experience as a Public Health Sanitarian and middle grades educator.

Ms. Scott received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Virginia State University. She holds a Master of Science degree in Science Education from Lehman College and a Master of Science degree in School Building Leadership from Mercy College both located in New York.
